Balvir Kaur Badesha – The Saint & His Kheer.

Once a sant (saint or holy person) went to say some prayers and asked a woman to make some kheer (rice pudding) for him. She agreed to do so and once it was prepared handed it to the sant. Once he had eaten all of it he immediately vomited the food back onto the plate. She questioned why he had done so, especially as there was so much kheer. He replied “Today my heart desired kheer, tomorrow my heart will desire something else.”

The moral of the story is that you should learn to control your desires.
