HLF funding confirmed for Tongue Tied & Twisted

We are pleased to announce Black Country Touring has been awarded £28,000 HLF Funding towards Tongue Tied & Twisted – a new project based on traditional Indian stories as told by the members of local elder groups in the Black Country.

The funding from Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) will support the creation of a brand new theatre show based on these stories and fund an online archive to capture these stories for future generations. Black Country Touring would like to thank all National Lottery players who have made this funding possible.

The show will be created with International storyteller Peter Chand, music producer PKCtheFirst, directed by BCT co-artistic Director Steve Johnstone. Tongue Tied & Twisted is also a co-commission with Creative Black Country, a three year programme funded by the Creative People and Places scheme through Arts Council England.
